Health News and Acai Berry - The Mysterious Connection

In the last few weeks we have received numerous emails about Julia Miller - a health news reporter - who investigated the weight loss benefits of the Acai Berry. We have heard so much about the Acai Berry and claims that it could help you lose weight, that we were excited to learn that a health news reported had some testing on the supplement. Unforunately, as we investigated further we learned that Julia Miller was not who she claimed to be.

Some Background on the Acai Berry

The Acai Berry is a small purple berry that grows in the Amazon Rainforest. The berry grows in bunches high in the Acai Palm tree. The Acai berry has a very large seed - with only about 10% of the berry edible skin and pulp. While the Acai Berry is small in size, it is large in nutrition - with more antioxidants than any other fruit. The fact that the Acai berry can help increase energy, improve sleep patterns, reduce inflammation, boost the immune system and aide in digestion is widely accepted. What is much more open to debate are the weight loss powers of the Acai berry.

The Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse - A Match Made in Marketing Heaven?

One of the common themes among web sites that promote Acai for weight loss is to pair it with a colon cleanse. This seems liked an interesting combination so we did a search at PubMed for any clinical studies on the combination of Acai and a colon cleanse - we did not find any studies. It looks like the idea that the two supplements need to be used together is more a matter of marketing than science.

6 Things to Look For When Buying Tablet Insurance

When shopping for tablet insurance, you need to keep several things in mind to get the most value for your buck. Some are obvious such as cost and damage types covered. Others you may not think about but are none the less important.

Deductible

The first thing you should look for is how much the deductible is for each claim. If you are new to the insurance game, the deductible is how much you are required to pay before insurance will payout. Say you have a deductible of $100 and you file a claim for $400. Assuming the claim is valid and accepted, the insurance company will pay you $300 on that claim. The first $100 is your responsibility. This is to reduce the number of 'small' claims for cosmetic damage. Keep in mind, the deductible is an area where you may be able to save money on your policy. Typically, if you choose a higher deductible your monthly premium will be less.

Travel Coverage

This is an area that could catch a lot of people off guard. If you bought the extended warranty when you purchased your iPad, you may not be aware that it is only valid in the country of purchase. If you take your tablet on a trip outside the country you may not be covered if any damage occurs. Most third party insurance policies have at least some coverage for travelling. You will need to check the specifics of whatever policy you choose of course. Be sure to note any limits on time as many are limited to 90 days of coverage during travel. Also check the company's definition of 'travel' as it may refer to city, state, or country.

Damage Types Covered

You can usually count on every policy covering physical and liquid damage to your tablet. Be sure to also check if there is coverage for loss and theft as well as any limitations on such claims. I have seen policies that will refuse a claim if the device was stolen from a car but not locked in a compartment of some sort. So be sure to check for any clauses like that.

Recent Health News Articles on Stress

The people today are more active than the people before. But with more activities that must be done, the people also suffer from stress too much. The recent health news articles on stress reveal that people suffering from stress are actually changing. There have been researches that the stressed people increases and their situation are worsening.

The type of people today is changing by the means that they move and live their lives and so this also goes with the way that stress affects these people. The number of stressed people is actually increasing and the effects of stress in a person are also adding up. With more people feel stressed, there are others that consider stress as a common situation in their life but they do not see that they are risking their health too much when they simply let stress take over their body.

With recent changes in the way that we live our life, every individual must be careful not to let these situations affect him too much. With the many tasks that must be accomplished, this must not always make him feel stressed. Coping up should still be done and having a clear mind should be maintained. There can be many ways that a person can do to manage his life better and to avoid stress to take in control.

Creating Good News On The Internet Just Got Easier With Alternative Health and Lifestyle Events

If there's one thing we've probably all realized, it's that people want to be updated about "feel-good" news that matters. It's time to stop having to scour the Internet to find good news from across the globe which is buried under all of the negative media and tabloids. We all deserve the right to know about all the good and great things that are happening right now. Even when we sleep, eat, work or play, we need to know. Just look how far away from you, your cell phone is right now.

And all this "feel good" news is creating a movement in the alternative arena, which can eventually connect us and bridge the gaps between who the world tells us we are and who we really are and who we can be. All people are created equal and all people share the same body forms when we are born. It's the power we give society that pushes us to overestimate or underestimate our lifestyle options and accept less than "feel good' as options. That's the moment we begin to focus, only on what is expected of us and fail to realize what we become is always a choice. It also sets in motion a point of view that says our life is predetermined by the environment in which we live. That is where it stops feeling good, right? Can you feel it?

Health News From Hurricane Beaten Florida

The hurricanes have been beating Florida to a pulp and causing untold property damage in that area of the country.

I have two good friends who live in the Tampa area, so I've been calling down there frequently to check on things.

I've already told you much about my friend Matt. And as you know, he and his family were over in China for awhile, so they missed much of the action (which is a good thing)

But my other good friend, Chet Rowland lives in Clearwater Beach, and he didn't miss a thing.

In fact, I was watching my local news here in Seattle a couple weeks ago, and here's this reporter doing a story on the Florida hurricanes.

But here's the catch...

She's standing on Clearwater Beach, with the pier in the background, trying to stay on her feet as the wind is howling through at incredible speeds.

Natural Health News

Keeping up to date with natural health news is a good way to know what are some of the latest natural remedies, cures and treatments are available. If you subscribe to a natural health newsletter maybe you should forward the news to a few friends so they can't read all the valuable, important information you have found. I check this particular news source almost everyday to see what going on in the wonderful of natural healthcare.

Some of the more interesting news about natural health I enjoy reading is articles about home remedies to help cure illnesses. I think that is information everyone can use. I also enjoy reading what type of oils may help you be productive during the day, there seems to be something new coming out all the time that I never heard of. I'm not a health crazed nut by any meaning but I like to know what's going on.

Get Sun Smart This Summer - Better Health News

Get sun smart this summer, and your skin will thank you decades later. Here is a bit of news that you will find hard to believe but is true: 90 per cent of the things that depress you when you look in the mirror are caused not by age but by ultraviolet light-creases, blotches, little white sports, thickening, sagging, wrinkling, and swallowing.

Years of sun exposure can devastate and dramatically age even the finest and healthiest of skins. Fair skin gets parchment-thin with freckling, dilated broken capillaries, age sports, and rough, red patches. Those with brown skins have a decade's grace before they stat wrinkling, but even they don't get by unscathed, dark skin becomes coarse-looking with deep furrows. The sun's cancer-causing UV-B rays are, for the most part, blocked by the ample stores of melanin in dark skin. But the longer UA-V rays, which may not directly, promote cancer but do cause wrinkling, penetrate to the dermis regardless of skin color.

How, then, can you prepare your skin to weather the season and avoid long term damage? The answer is quite simple: Choose a good sunscreen (it is the only over-the-counter product that truly helps prevent premature wrinkles!), and take steps to block out the sun. Here is how you begin.

Health News - Core Technical Strength of New System

Please observe hand-out A. To view handout A see link at end of article

This article is about a discussion of the new sophisticated health care system suggested in article 2.
I am going to intentionally jump right into the middle of how the profile pattern such a system would be applied, so don't be concerned if you are unable to fit all the pieces of the system together immediately.

Hopefully this block diagram in handout A will help bring the 100 test profile pattern of health information more into perspective to give you a better idea as to the extreme breadth and depth of the information gathering capacity of this system. I might add here that the same laboratory (100 test) profile is used thorough-out the system--at both the national research center and the state diagnostic centers.

The top block diagram represents the 100 separate tests at five graduations each--approximately 100 dots across with five lines of dots representing the 5 possible test levels for each test.
